![]() ![]() It was different when we are alone, but when Darius is around us I feel even more inclined to ‘behave’. I rushed past Arthur sitting in my decorated thrown. We made it to the chapel stage as Arthur and Darius stood waiting. I exited only to be met with worried looks, “Afternoon sickness.” I burped as Elvira took me in her arm guiding me. I made sure there wasn’t any staining on it as I threw the skirt down over my dirty knees. There was an important duke arriving and I was relived I didn’t have to worry about my belly showing in my gown. “I can’t keep this up.” I wiped my mouth getting up from the cobblestone washroom floor. And every night I’d cough it up into the toilet in a giant hurl. I’ve grown so use to being by myself, I forgot I had a husband to keep me warm at night if it wasn’t Arthur’s blood. This was one of the few mornings I actually spent with him. “I’m finally getting ripe.” He blew it out of my fingers cuddling with me closer. Make a wish.” I held a long translucent strand of hair in front of Darius’ face as I combed through his deep black curls. How can you take a life that doesn’t exist? ![]()
